We’re all looking for ways to attract buyers for small businesses. Getting the message is difficult to attract new customers. I have a few suggestions for you on how you can attract some good, high quality customers that will be loyal to you for life. You don’t have to be a big company to take advantage of these suggestions. Many of our businesses are small, and advertising budgets are tight.
Here’s my take on how to grow your customer base:
1) Savings – Customers want to see savings. Can you offer a discount over your competition? This tactic will get people through your doors so you can show them your value adds. It’s no different than a supermarket featuring a product at a very low price. It’s called a loss leader. I’m not suggesting that you lose money on what you offer. Instead, introduce a form of inducement. Like for example “save 10% if you book with us today!” would be effective.
2) Take advantage of advertising that targets local groups – local facebook groups, like the Bradford Social Networking Association as well as the Bradford Cares blogs offer advertising that can supplement your advertising campaigns very effectively and reach out to many customers in the community.
3) Get your face out there in the community – people in the community generally like to know what businesses are in town. Participating in community events and sponsoring local teams can get your name out there in a hurry. Or better yet, get people in your local community to nominate you for local awards!
4) CPC and CPI – these acronyms are called cost per click and cost per impression. Yes, there is a cost to these services, but only when your potential customers click your ad. The potential return on investment is fantastic because the customers who click already like your ad and will be more inclined to buy. Your essentially getting the impression for free. People see the ad, and they may or may not like it. However your only paying when they decide to receive more information about your product. Sweet deal, if you ask me!
Have you tried any of these ideas? If interested in being promoted here at Bradford Cares, please contact me to discuss. I’d be happy to assist you in whatever way I can.
